I logged into my MLB account through the app on the Roku tv first, then hit Redeem on the T-Mobile offer on my phone, at which point it had me log into MLB (on the phone) as part of the redemption process. Confirmed that I got the free year, then checked on the tv and it was working great! Hope this helps!
