Save you money. Got a couple 6 packs a couple years ago for $3.99 each and would not buy them again at that price even. As soon as they they get damp, they tear.

I wash mine on gentle cycle and line dry.

My experience has been the exact opposite. I don't know if yours from "a couple years ago" are different from what I bought 6 months ago, but they don't tear even when using them for scrubbing.
