Good tool to have for the offsize pipe. I prefer the the set size pipe cutters from harbor freight for your typical 1/2" and 3/4" pipes. I've run into the issue of not having enough space to rotate this tool because the pipe is to close to something
Have had this for 10 years and have only replaced the blade once. I'm a homeowner, not a pro, but have used it to do alot of pipework in close quarters. Maybe the blade material has gotten cheaper...nothing you can do about that but a great tool to have.
Just FYI don't use this for EMT conduit 😬

Worth it if you're a tradesman. The set size autocutters at HF are good too for tight spaces. Just buy a few of them because the blades wear out quickly

No experience with this one, but the cheaper ones make great spirals!

The smaller version of this was also marked down similarly at Home Depot. Not sure about Amazon.

You must be overdoing it on the pressure. Just tighten slowly and you'll keep the blade sharp.

SkillfulClub4972 wasn't talking about the screw-tighten tubing cutters.
He was talking about the 'set-size' 1/2" and 3/4" HF tubing cutters that are plastic-bodied and made to only cut one size. No tightening screw on those.
Their blades don't last long.

I have this, works good for tight spaces where you have to cut copper coming out of a slab and working in a narrow space. It's a pain to use and pretty slow, I prefer using a bigger tool when I have space.

These are great. I've had mine for 15 years. Used it about 30 times.
