Got a Paperwhite for $80 in an Amazon Open Box deal last summer. Well worth going that route for the adjustable warm light alone.

Yeah, I have 10th gen Paperwhite, so it's not the new larger 6.7" screen, but I by far prefer the warmer light. Definitely agree.

If you don't read in the dark I believe the 2022 Basic is a better buy. It's portable enough to easily fit in a pocket and be carried on you always. You give up warm light and water resistance but you gain a much easier to carry around device.

I've been tracking these and this is the lowest price since bf when Kohls had them for $80 + $15 in Kohls cash. You can still get $10 in Kohls cash if you buy through them. I had a 10% Target circle coupon so I went with them. You can also trade in an old Amazon device if you buy through them.

This is indeed the lowest Kindle with ads but it now has its own built in light (albeit not as good as the glow light) and just overall is a great device imo for the price.

The text on the 2022 basic kindle is sharper than the paperwhite. I prefer it over my wife's paperwhite. I don't like the warm light setting. It's all a matter of personal preference. With that said, most people prefer the paperwhite. Not me.
