Deal has already been posted here a couple of weeks ago. Bought it and it has been holding up well with my 10 year old. I tried them out before giving them to him and they are a great value for the price.
A couple quick points I'd like to make. .1st off this deal seems to keep recycling over and over again. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, Just thought I'd put that out there. Believe this is the 3rd or 4th time this has come up at this price in the last couple months or less.
I bought a couple of these off Amazon 2 or 3 deals ago. Amazon did not send the correct advertised set. They sent the xbox only set. It does not include the advertised usb sound card type device that is advertised for the xbox/playstation/pc version. The version I and many others got stated only xbox on the packaging and included no usb device. Some have stated this version has been cheapened over the other version as well. Not sure of the validity of that or not, But it was alleged in some of the previous threads. To be fair, I complained to Amazon about receiving the wrong item. First they offered a 10% refund or for me return them. I press them a bit more, and they ened up refunding $15 total for the 2 sets. $45 for two is not terrible. Probably roughly what their worth. Just know they are not powered. Not terrible but sound is a bit weak. I will say they are decently comfortable on the head.
Reviews on Amazon are potentially misleading because they have such a wide variety of headphones all sharing reviews on that item page, which is probably why it has an F rating on FakeSpot.
Seems like a lot of the positive reviews are for the "Cloud Alpha" which is in the $150 range.

Bought 2 weeks ago and also did not receive the usb connection. Talked to HyperX support and they said Amazon does it a lot and it's 50/50 if they send you the one with the usb or not.
I had one of these and those with large noggins need not apply. It was tight on my regular size melon, and with glasses on I did not care for it. I gave them to my nephew and he likes it. Sound was... not terrible, about what you would expect for a $30 gaming headset. ie - not nearly as good as my $20 jbl earbuds.
Any recommendations for one of these for office work wireless or Bluetooth?
Goodness NO!! These are for gaming with xbox controllers only. And maybe possibly PC and playstation games. Not nearly comfortable or high quality enough. Not to mention no wireless/blutooth options. These aren't powered at all. Think more like a low quality audio jack style earbuds that are encased in a headset. Not withstanding that you'd most likely look like a tool with some goofy gaming headset on at the office...

Agree, I have a large head and they were small on me. Sound was good though.

These are way better quality than you give them credit for.
They are hyper x rebrands of the Takstar pro 80 with an added mic, which is a solid and respected set of budget hifi cans. They don't even look goofy, they're literally just regular headphones with an added mic.
If you are on the fence about these don't do it. I bought these from a previous deal at these price and the sound is cutting out because of the shoddy inline volume switch. Spend a little more or the same on something different. 7.1 is virtual and not worth much, that being said detatchable mic and the bass was nice at this price, but doesn't do a great job at delivering it. Plenty of distinct sounds can't hear well on this. Equilizer helps, but not alot
