You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Nice! how much did your download speeds increase?
Seeing right around the promised levels. Haven't really downloaded anything big yet. Suppose I should test that.

Just replied to his original message - This is only if you're on a lower tier...I'm on a higher tier and it didn't give me the option for $25. I had to create a new account in order to get the $25 deal.
I am on a lower tier but don't get the option. So, you basically chose "No, I am moving here as a new customer" and created a new account with the same ID and pass?

How do I do this? I have a mobile and internet. Should I now cancel my current and restart a subscription?

Yep, that's what I did. Used my wife's name and her email address.

It looks like the data limit doesn't apply to everyone?

"The Plan is not applicable in our Northeast markets, including CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, VA, VT, WV, the District of Columbia, and parts of NC and OH."

Wait. It looks like it is only $25 after the $10 autopay discount via bank account payment? So, the deal is actually $35/mo for 2 years, right?

The hilarious part is that you guys are reducing your internet speed even though internet is a big part of your life....just to save a few bucks
This is a valid point. I pay $52/month for 300MB from AT&T. Given this works great I have a hard time going to an unknown to save a couple hundred bucks per year. I still may give it a try but it is hard to pull the trigger when my current service has worked perfectly for 2 years.

Has anyone tried to mix this deal with ACP government program that gives you $30 credit towards your bills if you're eligible low-income household? Please share if any.

I just recently switched names for my expired 1 year 75mbps plan, it was more pain than I thought it'd be - their online system would not let me sign up whatsoever as a new "customer" moving into the address, checkout would get stuck with no error message on a loading screen. After calling in, they told me it was because the previous account was still active. Called in to cancel that account, but still had to place the new order over the phone. Also couldn't self activate the same day, spent another half hour with tech support reading the modem MAC address before it was up and running again.
I had similar issues, but I registered using an incognito browser and it went just fine.

$30 per month if you want to pay by CC.

Try this, log out of your account alltogether. Login to your account, then using a new window click on this deal, then type in the account address to check for deals. Since you logged in on another tab it will say an account already exists. Click on that selection, then scroll to your plan and click "upgrade speeds." The available promotional plans should now appear in the list to browse through.
