I'm sure they're dying without your money.
Legit question: why would you prefer digital over physical? You can't resell a digital copy. Do you keep all your games? I typically preorder games, sell them when I'm done, and if I ever happen to want to replay them years later I buy a used copy at a much cheaper price. Just my strategy.
i'm stoked they remade it, just a bit too much for me to spend on a remake

I think you need to learn the difference between a remaster and a remake. They did essentially create a new game with this. This is not a remaster. It's rebuilt from the ground up. The entire ship now connects, instead of loading in different levels. They redid the graphics, lighting, sound and updated the gameplay. Enemies and items have been moved around and the ship has been changed a bit to accommodate it being connected now. A remaster is when they just upgrade the resolution and slightly upgrade textures. It cost them a lot of time and money to make this.
I'm right there with you. People like that, who only buy digital, do it out of pure laziness of not wanting to get up and change a disc. It is such a massive waste of money. You don't own it. After you beat it and lose interest in it and never want to play it again, you've now lost all that money and don't even have a collectible to show off or something that will be worth something in the future. Not to mention it can be removed from the store, never to be downloaded again, which has happened several times. I only buy digital if it's the cheapest version, which is nearly never the case.
