Under your picture settings, change the mode from "All Sources" to "Current Source" & then change the backlight setting for SDR picture modes like Sports, etc.

You have to turn down the backlight when watching SDR content…to like 60-65. You can leave the backlight at 100 for HDR picture modes but not SDR modes.
Under your picture settings, change the mode from "All Sources" to "Current Source" & then change the backlight setting for SDR picture modes like Sports, etc.
Viewing angles would be the deciding factor for me. My next living room TV will be a 77" OLED because we have a wide sectional and often view at various angles.
