Target currently selling it for this.
Yes 250 is historical low I believe.
Eventually stock will run out.
The box for this model includes a USB-C to Lightning Cable and USB C brick so you can charge with that interface.
For almost everyone the 2021 model is the better buy, considering the price of 2022 model compared to this.

If you forget your apple lightning port or similar headphones..you can get cheap headphones on a flight, or just about anywhere nowadays.
Also, the Amazon price on this is now down to $229, which may be the all time low, and a smoking deal.

I'm curious about something and would really appreciate some helpful feedback, in case anyone would like to chime in and try to help answer this for me.
Would this (2021) 9th Generation iPad be powerful enough (and be a good option) to do video editing?
My son loves skateboarding, he spends hours at the skate park each week, and he really likes recording videos of himself and his friends skateboarding and uploading them to Instagram. Well, my son just mentioned that he would like to start uploading their skateboard videos to YouTube and that he would like to try to get a device that would allow him to do video editing, for this purpose.
My son mentioned that he thinks that a MacBook would be a good option for video editing, but, I know nothing about MacBooks. Unfortunately, recent MacBooks look to be ridiculously expensive (by my standards), costing around/over $800, which is not something that I could afford to buy right now. However, I know that there have been several different MacBook models that have been released, over the past 10 years, so I'm hoping that there may be an older model MacBook that is powerful enough to do a good job at video editing, that I might be able to afford to buy (used, most likely). Or, that I might be able to trade for.
Speaking of trading, back to this 9th Generation iPad, I actually bought one today from Walmart, after I was able to get them to price match the $250 price to Amazon, which also has it for $250. I had to send multiple e-mails to Walmart Help, before they would agree to do a price match; but, eventually, I was able to get it done. At first, I had tried to get Walmart to price match to Target, but, I was told that they could not do it, because it was only a temporary sale price and that it would not meet the necessary criteria for a price match. Then, I decided to try to ask them about matching the price and Amazon, and they said that they could approve it. However, I would need to place the order, complete it, and go pick it up, before they could actually give me a refund for the difference.
Even then, it was not that simple; because, as it turned out, for some reason, they were not able to get their system to approve/process the refund. So, they told me to go to my local Walmart and speak to someone at Customer Service and that they would be able to take care of it. So, I went to my local Walmart (where I had just picked up the iPad from, about an hour earlier) and they could not get their system to process/approve the price adjustment, either. So, I had to go back out to my car and grab the iPad, bring it back in to the Customer Service counter, have them give me a full refund, then, do a price match adjustment and purchase it again. And, at first, it did not seem that they were going to be able to process the price match adjustment; but, after a few seconds, it worked and I was able to get the iPad from Walmart for $250. And the only reason that I could afford to buy the iPad today, is because I had some Walmart store credit to use to pay for it, from returns that I have made, over the past couple months.
So, as of right now, I have a brand new (2021) 9th Generation iPad (64GB) that I have been wanting to give to my son for his birthday, which is at the end of this month, but I don't know if he will be able to do any sort of video editing with this iPad and I'm not sure what to do. And being that I can't afford to spend $500 on a MacBook right now, much less, $800-$1,000, I'm trying to figure something out, so that my son will be able to do the necessary video editing, so that he can start uploading his ans his friends' skateboarding videos to YouTube.
By the way, in case it matters, my son has an iPhone SE (2022, 3rd Generation) and that is what he uses to record his skate videos. So, it seems like it would be helpful, if I could get him an Apple device for his video editing and uploading.
So, basically, I would like to try to find out if this 9th Generation iPad can even do video editing? And if so, would it be a good option for editing videos?
And if this iPad would NOT be a good option, what are some older/affordable MacBooks, in the $250-$400 range, that would be good for editing videos?
I figure that I could probably sell this 9th Gen. iPad for around $250 and get some extra cash to put towards a used MacBook, if that's going to be the best option.
I apologize for the lengthy post. It's just that I know almost nothing about iPads, MacBooks and video editing, but this is something that is important to me, because of how much skateboarding means to my son, so I would really like to try to figure something out, soon, so that I can try to get him an Apple device (iPad or MacBook) to give to him for his birthday, at the end of this month.
If someone would like to reply and offer me some helpful feedback and suggestions, I would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you very much, in advance, for any help that I get!
