Is this still working for people? I have yet to get a single order through despite trying different cards and phone numbers. I called the CS. They didn't tell me why it was declined, but told me to wait 24 hours and try again.

I was able to put 5 straight orders through on a single credit card. Not sure if it matters but I have bought many gift cards from them before.

Airbnb is such a rip off nowadays. It used to be a cost effective lodging option, but between the insane rate increases over the past couple of years and the ridiculous requirements (wash all sheets, take out trash to curb, wash and dry and put away all dishes, etc. AND pay a $300 cleaning fee).

Vrbo doesn't seem to have gotten as crazy. If you need a non-hotel option I would always recommend going with Vrbo first. Still, I was able to book a suite in the seaport district in Boston this summer for less than a studio anywhere central in Boston. I'm done with airbnb.

That's my rant.

Better still, locate the place you want on VRBO or Airbnb, then search that property to find the management company who is handling it and book directly off their site. I've done this many times and usually save around $200 in fees charged by the other sites. It doesn't always work as some owners just use Airbnb, but it does work.

No, you just need to get a Kroger shoppers card. It's tied to a phone number you provide at sign up. When you fill up at a Kroger fuel station you enter the phone number into the pump and select how many points you want to use. You can redeem up to 1,000 at the pump which will take $1.00 off the price. Every 100 points you redeem takes .10 cents off the price of fuel. 35 gallons max at the time you fill. When I have 1,000 to redeem, my wife and I both go and I'll fill one car, then the other.

Most gas stations don't allow you to fuel two cars. If they find it, they would stop the pump. Better to bring gas cans.
