For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Too bad there's no deal on the 7 Pro
There was, right before XMas. It was $589 w/the same bogo 6 months, IIRC. Also 128gb, black only.

Two weeks ago I ordered it first thing I saw the deal that morning. Made two orders for my mom and I, and got the "Just double Checking" email afterwards. Then 4 hours later I got an email from Paypal and Mint saying I am being refunded. Mint email didn't explain why I got refunded. Then I called customer support, and to see why my order got cancelled. They don't know what happened and told me that I am getting a refund and to just reorder.

I ordered it again with paypal later that evening and double checked my shipping and billing address. Got the "Just double Checking" email again. Then in the morning I got the same email from Paypal and Mint saying I am getting refunded again. I got fed up and decided to now try paying for it without paypal and by then the deal was out of stock in the morning.

So this is my new attempt to try to see if it will go through without Paypal. I never got a fraud alert from my Citibank and from reading the past comments in the previous post I am not the only one who had this issue as well. Some ppl even had a different shipping address and billing address that paid with paypal and their orders went through.
I posted more detail on the old thread but here's the key info:

DO NOT use different billing and shipping addresses. It will automatically go to "fraud" and cancel eventually no matter what.
Seems I was able to use Paypal and check out with my shipping address as my billing address, too. Now the order sent me a confirmed email.
They should not give the option to input different addresses in the check out, but more importantly, now we know never to use that with them.

Is Ryan Renolds selling more plans this way (with loss) so that he gets better leverage showing more customers switching to Mint later when the deal goes through?

OP says no port-in required, but on the checkout page it says, "Must bring your phone number to Mint", so which one is it? I just want to pay for the phone and not port in/out my number. Can I still use this deal?

Did you ever get the "Your Order? Confirmed!" email with any of your attempts?

You only need to bring your number in if you want the extra 6 months of service. If you just buy it as is, you don't need to port in your number.

For those looking for a free 12 month cell phone plan you can easily sell the phone to Gazelle for $345 and keep the SIM card. I sold my Pixel 7 to them for $418 a month ago and got a pre owned iPhone 12 128GB in mint condition from Visible - My iPhone came unlocked, flawless condition with 99% battery health.
Visible iPhone 12: https://www.visible.com/shop/smar...=MGFA3LL/A
Gazelle Pixel 7 trade: https://www.gazelle.com/sell/cell...98407-gpid

Edit: I got my Pixel 7 back in December with the iPhone SE trade in deal.

From what I can tell, you need to port a number in to get the 6 free months, or get a new number and no free 6 months. I was unable to just buy the deal for my existing account with the prior Pixel 6 deal.

Yup, I did this. The Mint sim isn't tied to the phone. Also, other people are reselling the sim/plan anyways. So no worries.

Last time I used the billing address and the shipping address was different from which my order got placed and received in the 1st attempt. Not sure at your point .
