For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Is it because of Metro? Did you update Pixel 7's IMEI to your Metro line?

Metro SIM is already activated and showing in Pixel 7 but shows as temporarily unavailable in Settings and SIM1 not allowed after restart. The same SIM is working on another phone.

Metro binds SIM with IMEI. You can't just swap Metro SIM into a new phone. Need first to update new phone's IMEI to your Metro line. Call Metro to update IMEI or IIRC you can update it from your own Metro account.

I feel like I'm missing something. Your plan is to buy a worse phone for more money?
depends if I can make some money flipping this one. Like I said I really didn't need the P7 and frankly I'm disappointed. The keyboard felt cramped for my fat fingers. Even my $88 Pixel 3a refurb better sound. Personal preference and I have too many phones already.

I'm buying it for a $289 Pixel 7, don't care about TMo takeover. I'll care more in a year when (if) they don't have buy-3mo-get-3mo-free around Black Friday and into Christmas, but nothing to do with this offer. Smilie
Once the deal closes, expect far less (if any) deals like that.

Mint was formed by Ultra Mobile with the express intent of building up a ton of subscribers and selling for a big profit. Ryan Reynolds alone will get over $300M from this deal if it closes (minus whatever he invested).

Does porting from google voice count as port in?
Anything other than mint counts. Even T-Mo works.

Is this offer available for new number not port in?
I think it is pretty crystal clear that it isn't.

Can I use this with Verizon? Don't know if phone have CDMA
That's all moot with 5G, CDMA is mostly gone (and this phone supports it anyway).

It didn't even ask me for a port number? Just checked out for $322 total?
You port when you activate. It won't let you proceed with the activation without putting in a number to port.

Current customers get?
A pixel 7 for a bit over $300 and a sim card to give away or sell, or activate with a $3 Google Voice number to use for extra data/backup number etc.

If I go over the 4GB, how much is it to upgrade the data in the future ?
You can buy chunks of data if you go over occasionally. If you want to upgrade the rest of the 12 months you will pay the difference between the 4GB plan and whatever you upgrade to. If you expect to go over 4G every month just buy a larger plan from the start, less hassle and less risk of them saying you can't upgrade the free months etc.
