For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

In addition to the 4 GB of internet, it also includes minutes to call other operators. Can someone please confirm that for me?
Huh? All of their plans are unlimited calling and texting (except the 7 day trial plan).

Is there a deal for pixel pro that could go through the end of this year? Looking to move this phone to my att prepaid plan at the end of the year.
You missed the pixel pro deal, that was January. May happen again, no way to know. But if the T-Mobile deal closes, probably less deals like this.

my mint mobile ends may 18th. What are the chances of letting that expire and immediately porting the current Cell # (now expired) to the new Mint 7
Chances are 0

You cannot port a mint number to mint and you have to be gone for 90 days to be considered a new customer.

What happens if you don't activate the sim?
The sim doesn't work. Has no impact on the phone.

Hi, does this mean I can get this phone, plug in my current SIM, and I'm good to go? If that's the case, this deal is better than the Pixel 6a at $299 that's on Frontpage?
Yes that's what it means

that's what I thought too. But Verizon CS kept insisting phones must have CDMA otherwise it won't work.
There are a few areas that still use it for some stuff but it really isn't important, and this phone will work, there are only two variants of Pixel phones:

All networks and bands except mmWave
Same as above with mmWave, sold by Verizon only, possibly T-Mobile too as they're starting to roll out higher frequencies.

Not a concern as mmwave is only in very limited areas and who needs 1Gbps+ on their phone?

So, if I already have months left on my existing Mint service, could I get this deal (assuming they're not sold out), and just swap my SIM card into the new phone? They wouldn't allow that with the last offer.
No, they will not allow that with any offer.

The only way to extend a current mint plan is by going into your account and renewing your plan.

This and all deals are for new lines only (you can be an existing customer, just can't use a phone or number that has been on their network in the last 90 days).

Just ordered one with the exact price. however, my included plan is 12 month 4gb instead of 6 months .
That's the deal everyone gets. 12 months as long as you port in a new number within 45 days. Someone messed up the title.

got one now. i just dont have to activate the SIM and it's all still good, rite?
Yes.

But for the $3 to get a google voice number and port it over, you must be able to find a use for the 4GB SIM. Or sell it for $50 or more, or give it to someone, etc.

This actually includes 12 months of the 4GB plan, not just 6. Pretty slick if you ask me.
Yeah someone messed up the title. Its actually impossible to get 6 months, you either get 12 if you port in or 0 if you don't.

12 months if you port-in, i wonder if it just stays 6 months if you activate as new number.
There is no option to activate a new number. Though in the FAQ it does say you can contact customer service and you'll get a new number and 6 months. Good luck though, their CS isn't the best. Makes sense to just pay $3 for a google voice number port out and get the full 12 months either way.

I can keep card for 45 days, then have to activate it after that?
You have to activate within 45 days or it expires.

Says 6 free months. Does that mean they will charge you for the remaining 6?
Yes, that is part of the $289 price. $199 for the phone and $90 for the first 6 months of service. Then 6 more months free assuming you port in a number.

I bought the 10GB/12mo plan (including 6mo free when you switch) but wish I had ordered Ulimited/12mo.

The price diff that I would have to pay more if I get Unlimited in the beginning was $60, but it looks like I'll have to pay $120 to move from 10GB to Unlimited after activation.

Is there any way I can pay just $60 and get Unlimited for 12mo?

I have yet to activate.
No, unfortunately you need to pay the diff for all 12 months, unless you get a really nice support rep. You can try a few times, or try contacting the Alex account in their reddit sub. They may add some money to your wallet to make up the difference.

Keep in mind unlimited is really 35 gigs, and you only get 5GB of hotspot as opposed to 10GB with the 10GB plan, not sure if either of those matter to you.

Another SD'er pointed out to me that the extra 6 months is free only if you port in your number. If you don't, it's just 6 months.
The only way to do that is to contact customer service, and that's a bit of a crapshoot. Just pay the $3 for a google voice number port out, well worth it for an extra 6 months of service.
