I'm just trying to help, and I don't know your exact situation, but here is some info that might be helpful:

Its possible to use international eSIM services like Airalo, which I've found to be inexpensive and reliable for international travel.

Depending on your needs, you can use Airalo in the 2nd eSIM slot of your iPhone. Then If you set your iPhone to only use data from that 2nd eSIM, you can get incoming calls on your primary US number, using the data stream from the 2nd eSIM for the call.

This setup will actually be WiFi calling, not airtime calling. On some US phone plans, this won't trigger international call charges.

Again, I don't know your exact situation, but there could be some possibilities for you with this route. Anyhow, I hope this helps someone out there who only has a dual eSIM phone…

Again, just trying to help…

EDIT:
If you want to know exactly how to do this, let me know and I'll post it a bit later once I'm at my computer where I have that exact "how to" info saved…

1 - Turn ON wifi calling on SIM1
2 - Turn OFF data roaming on SIM1
3 - Set SIM1 as your primary voice
4 - Set SIM2 as your primary data source
5 - Disable the cellular switching

Whenever not on wifi, this setup will piggy back off SIM2 cellular connection as WiFi calling. This also works on iPhone 13 Pro Max using physical / eSIMs

Apple Support mentions DUAL SIM usage here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209044

Scroll down to "Learn about Dual SIM status icons"

I hope this help!

Mint 100% supports eSIM. I've been using a 14 on Mint since release.

Man, if only the 14 supports physical sim, i would be all over it. Esim is not supported in some usa carriers like mint
Mint supports esim and it's easy to configure using their app.

So does this work with TMOBILE? Someone earlier said even tho it is unlocked it wouldn't work for them. Must be BS right?
I was just in Costco store and mine has a T-Mobile kiosk. I was told it will work and I would be fine. I've had T-Mobile for 10 years so not coming from sprint/other carrier.

Leaks are out for regular iPhone 15 with 8GB RAM, dynamic Island, and USB-C. Can't wait.

Apple will give you back $149. That said, it is probably better to keep the AppleCare if you don't like putting on a case. While most third party warranty providers do not cover back glass as screen, AppleCare only charges $29 for replacement. And at the end of your two years, you can renew at 9.99 a month.
wait what? this is the first time I heard of the renewal for $10/month. Where do you see that?

Apple won't. There is a lobby of these service providers, they know people will change the sim to make it work with other country's local service and hence won't use their international plan. Also for Apple, their phone becomes less usable in international locations where esim is not common. A lot of countries apple phone is more expensive than in the US, so the folks more often than not, will get a iphone from US via friends/relatives and it will work perfectly with physical sim. Now they don't have a choice. It's all about greed, my friend.
I'm with att, their Int. plan rate is $10 per day, but family multiple lines can drop to $5 per day/line. Not bad for travel. But if you plan to stay oversea for a couple months, this would not be ideal. Might as well buy a local iphone for the physical sim.

Alternatively, one should always carry one of the older iphone with to use with international physical sim along with the newer iphone. The older iphone can be used as a hotspot etc.

The good news though is the local thief whi won't be interested in the tourist US iphone, so give and take.

That's the normal monthly subscription price for AppleCare+ (w/o Loss + Theft) for a 14 Pro Max. Which should be available after the 2-year plan expires.

This is a strange position for Costco who just lost their mobile provider contractor, and as Apple may want even more marketshare with 14 sales, it's a right place and right time scenario to see unlocked iPhones being sold at such a discount. Anyone who hasn't upgraded already through their own carrier's discounts/deals since launch have a great opportunity here. USB-C won't improve the 15 if that's been on anyone's mind, it will just change your cable choice 👍

"According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the USB-C port on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will remain limited to USB 2.0 speeds – the same as Lightning. Only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will apparently get faster transfer speeds. As a result, the only major difference between Lightning and USB-C on the standard iPhone 15 models could simply be the physical shape of the connector." - Mac Rumors

Will pass for 15, supposed to have a much-expected-upgrade on main cameras.
They just upgraded the camera on the main on the 14 Pro models. Zero chance they abandon it after 1 year. I'm assuming you meant the Pro models as that's what this deal is for.
