Just used it and it worked.
Example?
Lacrosse is a pretty good brand, haven't used one myself and mine are still running strong after years. Some of them can bring some back that are close to dead. Be ready to pat a fair penny. As I don't own one, I can't recommend a specific model. But you should look for one with a refresh cycle and a discharge cycle to test capcity/ how well they are working.

So, I picked up some Amazon Basic AAAs very cheaply on a S&S SD last year $3.60 for a 6 pack, so 60 cents a battery. Yes, they're absolutely inferior to Eneloops, but for my needs, they work and had a great price point rather than wait/hunt for a good MIJ AAA battery deal.
Adorama, B&H, Amazon, and maybe Best Buy have had deals on pure Eneloop battery packs in the past.
I have two of them. Probably paid around $30-$40 maybe 10 years ago for them at this point. They used to be regularly on the front page, much like the Kill-A-Watt deals, but then either mods got tired of them, or staff turned over enough that nobody cared for either of those two products (Lacrosse battery charge or killawatt)
I've had success bringing life back to batteries that were forgotten about and severely depleted. Generally, I'll always load up a discharge fully and slow charge once cycle when I recharge batteries.

Note: I needed a large capacity charger, you may not.

All I can really see is claimed recharge cycles. found this comparison between the two:

PS: I own plenty of both brands currently. Also EBLs but those are rechargeable Li-Ion.
FWIW, I've used rechargeables almost exclusively for about 15 years now. I have used Eneloops, Tenergy, and Energizer.
The Energizers failed a long time ago (e.g. probably 2008), albeit they were probably bought 2003-era. The included charger from the Sam's pack did a poor job of charging them. (I had a Canon P&S camera that took double A's).
The Tenergy batteries from the mid-2000s... maybe 2005 to 2007 also failed and refused to hold a charge even after a discharge/refresh until it reaches max charge capacity on a Lacrosse charger a long time ago --- maybe 7 years ago. I probably bought the Tenergy batteries on a meritline or other SD here where the price point blew Eneloops out of the water.
The MiJ eneloops I have from about that era (two white capped Energizers and shortly after Eneloop started marketing under their own brand name), they're still going strong.

Would not recommend a fast charger for any LSD rechargeable batteries. It may be convenient in a pinch, but the purpose of low self discharge (LSD) rechargeables is that you can charge them and leave them on the shelf til you need them, thus negating the need to charge them fast. Fast charging is hard on rechargeables and will reduce life/capacity.
