The Coleman often goes on sale for like $30. That's a better deal.

This is cheaply made. Doesn't have a bottom plate, and some reviews complain thst the grates are flu sy and bow under the weight of normal pans. I'd expect cast iron to be too heavy for this.

I do not own this stove. That said, based on reviews and images I'd spend a little more and get a sturdy stove that will hold up for longer and be a better overall experience. I'm not talking a $200-400 stove, even just a Coleman classic or cascade. This is in my mind, a disposable stove.

Fine to keep in your prep gear for emergency use, but wouldn't recommend for regular weekend camping or tailgating

I bought this and the coleman last year on sale and returned the Coleman no difference at All and this is half the price. Cheaply made, Yes , so is the coleman...

I have had this for about 6 years. Works okay. It's a bit annoying to set it up sometimes. Also, collapsing it and placing the gas stem back isn't great.

Does the regular fit on a Camp Chef stove? I think Camp Chef regulators have a different thread than Coleman stoves. The regulators are $20 by itself.

The classic Coleman stove that this copies is proven solid. For $20, you can't go wrong here, really, though your risk tolerance for cheaper make with flammable gas may vary. When and if the Coleman is closer to this in price, it's a better bet. We got a new one not too long ago and it's still as solid and reliable as I remember from olden times.

I'd recommend against cheap gear for emergency use. You don't want gear to fail when you need it the most.

I've used these, they are built cheaper, but still serviceable. It will hold a 8-10" pan just fine, though i'd have reservations about using a dutch oven on it. The coleman is better, but I believe it is about an inch or so larger folded up (the coleman closes with its grate inside). I don't know if you'd really want to go larger than 8" pans on these, as your really fighting for real estate.

If you can get the coleman for cheap, sure. But if you don't have one, this is still a good buy.
