Would this be a better option for the price? Never purchased a camp stove and just need something simple for the occasional weekend camping trip this summer.

That one is a single burner (which is ok if you plan on only using one pan), it doesn't have a wind shield, and the fuel connector is inside the unit so you'll be limited on the type of fuel tank you can use. It's also butane, not propane (propane is generally cheaper). Butane isn't as good in low temperature settings.
So if you're camping in the snow in the north or in the mountains and you want to cook more than one thing at a time, this is not a better option for the price.

All true except the price of fuel. Propane may be cheaper as a fuel, but the delivery system is significantly more expensive. I have and use both. The butane ones are more compact, but you'll also want a wind screen if using in windy conditions.
Btw, cold conditions means like under 50 degrees. It can begin to have vaporization. Problems. Usually the single burner systems can work as the heat from cooking is then added back toward the can.
