Got these on the woot deal a little over a month ago - no audiophile but they sound awesome in my basement set up
100% recommended.

Got this set to replace a Energy 5.1 Take Classic about 4 months ago. Extremely impressed. I still use the Energy's sub with the Jamo's. Dialog is clear even at low volumes, music, games and movies sound great. I have these in an oversized room and they easily fill the room with sound without becoming distorted at higher volume.

Only negatives are the speakers are a bit large (compared to the Energy set), it doesn't come with a dedicated sub (although the speakers themselves have nice bass response). and Jamo seems to be discontinuing some of the accessories like the attachable Atmos speakers.

I found this review helpful when I was researching this set.

Every other sound bar out there? I swear people say things like this to make themselves feel better or elitist or something. Cmon man. I owned these and I own the Jamo S809 towers that go on sale here. They are extremely cheap. The price/performance isn't terrible and they are *acceptable* for an entry level speaker system but you still are getting what you pay for. I got rid of both these sets in favor of a Sonos surround system which sounds light years better than this. To say this budget set beats every other sound bar is just plain nonsense. IN GENERAL- a discrete speaker system beats out soundbars in terms of sound quality- but to universalize that concept like you did is ridiculous.

I'm looking for a real good Soundbar with dedicated subwoofer pre-out (to use an existing powered sub I have). Can't find anything under the cost of 2 pairs of klipsch rp160s and a nice center would go for. Got any recommendations?

I have these (plus the atmos addon speakers) and they ROCK! I love how good they sound. I paired them with a 12" Dayton Audio subwoofer that can go down below 60 hz. If it matters, I have a Denon receiver. I highly recommend them.

Stating every other sound bar is overreaching, I agree. I usually try to qualify my sound bar comparison statements, but I take most people's comments like that to be compared to similar priced items. I doubt anyone here is saying that a $150 speaker set compares to a $3,000 soundbar setup. But to me, $ for $ comparison, these budget speakers deals paired with a basic receiver will always smoke a soundbar setup. Sonos immersive runs between $1,200 and $2,000 depending on the model from what I've see. (And the one system I've heard does sound good.) This is a $150 speaker set if paired with a basic sub and receiver would hit $600. If you bought speakers and a receiver that hit the $1,200 to $2,000 range, Sonos can't keep up. They win in ease of setup and decreased intrusiveness but in sound quality when compared at the same cost, there's just no comparison. Most comments comparing these speaker deals to soundbars are referring to the same price range, but maybe I'm wrong…

I bought the white @$200 and impressed! It's no high end audio, but best looking bookshelf speakers for smallet rooms. The smaller set sounds fine for casual listening to my albums and vintage Pioneer SX-425 receiver. You won't regret it For $150! I use the larger set + center for 5.1 home theatre...

Can someone please explain this comment? What does this do - make everything wireless?
yeah, basically a cheap way to make the speakers bluetooth, got a pair in the garage, one in the living room and one in the bedroom

(Surprisingly low spl efficiency for a Klipsch speaker - amp may run hot depending on listening preferences).
These aren't Klipsch speakers. Jamo is owned by Klipsch but has nothing to do with them design or production wise

I don't think you'd say that if you had seen the Klipsch KD-51M…

Unless, of course, you realize that it is just a rebadged Jamo, lol
