I don't think this is a great deal when the iphone 11 can be had for as low as $60 from Metro PCS, that's with 1 month service included and you wait 6 months instead of 12 for unlocking.

I was able to add the phone and $15 plan by going to phone buy page selecting color and clicking check availability. Then before choosing a plan open new tab and BYOP (https://my.boostmobile.com/shop/buy/plans/) with $15 plan and click Choose Plan. Total (before tax) in cart $214.99.

I used NYturbo since I've used them before to unlock my iPhone XR from an old Slickdeal post.
Do you use esim unlock mode? Does that mean your iPhone can work with boost and t-mobile at same time?

When I was using the NYturbo to unlock, pretty sure I used the esim 5g option, no idea what that meant. I personally just bought it for my nephew who has the phone now so he can use it on T-mobile, never tried setting up the boost mobile esim.

To those who wants their service to use AT&T tower. When buying the phone, select "bring your own number" option. Buy H2O sim (could be any other AT&T MVNO sim, not sure) from Target for $1 and use it during your activation. I just activated one account using H2O sim. Now I have H2O sim with Boost - AT&T service
Forgive me, but I'm a little confused. So, your workaround is to use an H2O sim card instead of the one provided by Boost, so that it activates on ATT and not T-Mobile, but you are still paying for service with Boost, right? I thought this phone comes with a SIM card from Boost that will only activate on their ATT network, and not T-Mobile. Is that not the case?

RedPocket GSMA works as well. Just checked
Are saying you also used an unactivated RP GSMA sim card to activate the service with Boost, or are you saying the phone is effectively unlocked for use with RP GSMA and you don't have to use Boost for service at all?

Thanks!

Boost has T-Mobile and ATT sim cards. Your plan is tied to your account, not a sim card. If you got a T-Mobile sim but ATT coverage is better in your area, you can simply use H2O sim number during activation on their website and have Boost service with H2O sim

yes, just try it if you have a boost account that's pending activation. You can try any ATT sim and the system will tell you whether the sim is valid or not

Ahh, ok, I get it now. So you are just using an ATT MVNO sim to be able to use Boost on their ATT network instead of T-Mobile. But the phone is still locked to Boost service. Got it!

Use ATT MVNO sim like H2O or RedPocket GSMA for Boost ATT network, but your phone has to be unlocked to support H2O or GSMA sim.

How could I tell if my boost phone is using ATT network or TMO network? Those who said they are showing Sprint, couldn't you just call Tmobile to get the phone unlocked if you have a postpaid account with Tmobile?

Does it has to be in the phone for whole 12 months ? And can it be used outside US?

I wonder if your hack would work with a prepaid plan (no phone) as well. There is a $15 for 3 month plan available at various retailers, it AFAIK all retailers only sell t-mobile sim cards. With the phone purchase, the plan is tied to your account as you say, but with a retail prepaid plan the account wouldn't be set up until you try to activate it. Hmm, I'm thinking it wouldn't work, but it would be great if it did. I've tried so many mvno's over the years and in my experience, services using att are the best and most reliable.

Don't think so. Pretty sure the 3month plan is attached to that sim
