I don't think this is a great deal when the iphone 11 can be had for as low as $60 from Metro PCS, that's with 1 month service included and you wait 6 months instead of 12 for unlocking.

I was able to add the phone and $15 plan by going to phone buy page selecting color and clicking check availability. Then before choosing a plan open new tab and BYOP (https://my.boostmobile.com/shop/buy/plans/) with $15 plan and click Choose Plan. Total (before tax) in cart $214.99.

Someone said they turn their hot spot on their 12 and use it.

It might be pure luck

Mine has not unlocked but I am getting free service with the boost coins app and the $15 plan
Did you(or anybody) buy the phone and your current plan on different accounts? Any ideas about collision with the unlock process?

it adds $180 for 3 months of service, looks not an option to remove this charge

Is it just me or the deals on iPhones have drastically reduced this year? Last year we had so many deals on XR from total wireless, visible deals and even xfinity deals. Seems like no deals this year.

Yep, iPhone deals have gone down significantly this year compared to previous years.

Ofc it's a 12. All iPhones starting with the iPhone X (2017) have eSIM and are dual sim capable.

Can a current boost customer just pop their sim card in and go, and I wonder what network it ships with, over had both T-Mobile and at&t on Boost in the last year

Hm, I have a 4G 11 Pro Max and a 5G 12 Pro Max. In practice, the difference is minimal / unnoticeable.
It's another question that 64GB is simple unusable. Apple only makes these to advertise a low starting price on a starting model they know is unusable. Nobody buys those starting models. And they are the ones on clearance sale at the end of the product's lifecycle. Just sad.

This phone is half way through its support lifecycle.
Also, 64GB is simply unusual. Apple only made these to be able to advertise a low starting price.
Considering all that, this is a very expensive phone with very serious limitations.

unless you use or want to use Boost, having it sit in a drawer for 1 year is going to drive it's value down a lot if you plan is to "unlock" and use this on another carrier.

My iPhone 12 came with an AT&T card, but there have also been reports of T-Mobile, so I think it could be either. I got the $15 plan with the phone back when this deal was first posted and you could downgrade using another browser window. My BoostOne coins have paid for the renewals so far.

Earlier in the thread someone posted that she just moved the SIM card from a current account.
