Physical or bust. Unless it's a $2 game I'm not buying a digital copy.

Ty for sharing.

If this is digital, why is shipping even listed?

I'm the opposite. Digital or bust. I know I'm not the norm but this a great deal for the digital version.

I prefer physical, too, but I go where the deals are.

For Nintendo games mainly, I think it's worth going physical most of the time for the following reasons:

1) At GameStop during their trade-in bonus deals w/ pro membership, you can often get back what you paid or even more, depending on what sale price you bought the game at.

2) It's not that much of an inconvenience to go physical if you have the proper case. I have one has 10 slots for carrying games and is compact enough to fit in my backpack for travel so it stays out of view. It doesn't take much time to switch (😉) out games. For Xbox and Playstation, this type of thing makes more of a difference.

3) Easier to share games. I'm aware that there's a digital sharing feature on console, but I'm assuming that they're some kind of limitations with that. Also, I'm sure that 98% aren't even aware that they can do this. Sharing physical games is much more straight forward.

My general approach is to get all multiplatform games for PC because of steamdeck and the fact that most of them end of having cloud save which gives me ultimate flexible and I don't have to rely on an paid online infrastructure for access.

For Playstation, it's now an exclusive only console. I'll get physical and trade it in after beating if I can get most of the value back. If it's a game that's a favorite, I'll re buy physical for cheap and double dip once digital is dirt cheap (but if it's very cheap it's likely ending up PS+ anyways).

Thanks for summarizing. Doesn't make sense for a slickdealer to prefer digital over physical for these reasons

I just don't get the logic in this. It's a great game no doubt. But the way game backlogs are these days, who plays a game more than once or twice? The physical can be resold for around $30 even years after it's release. Or passed/traded to a friend for one of his/her games like we used to do in the olden days. Digital should always be cheaper.
