Any idea if this can be done by existing Verizon customers?

This is basically the previous BYOD promo, but instead of getting a $500 giftcard for staying for 12 months, it is now giving you $504 bill credits (or $180 w/Welcome Unlimited or $360 w/ 5G Start) over 36 months.

I've looked at this deal a couple of weeks ago. The issue is with the taxes and fees. Based on what I was told, they base taxes and fees on the line before discounts. I was also provided this website to estimate my taxes and fees:

https://www.verizon.com/support/t...estimator/

I was going to transfer 6 lines, but for me, it would be another $14/month/line just in taxes and fees. Might be a good deal for someone else but I pay less for more on Tmobile.

Another thing to consider is the $35/line activation fee.

There is always a catch.

I have 2 lines T-Mobile for $70 (no tax) and 300/300 MB Fios for $39.99. They are offering 300/300 for $29.99. If I can two lines for $20 each and Fios for less I might be in on the deal. Any thoughts on what my damage would be for switching to Fios. I will bring two iPhones.

Always remember:

Welcome and Start Unlimited are 100% deprioritized meaning if a tower is congested with many other Cell phone users, those 2 plans are pushed to the back of the Data line.

Figured this was a little too good to be true... do the discounts have an expiration? And I assume if you do a device promo you lose the discount here?

Basically a straight talk or Xfinity customer without the convenience of not having a contract.

It is insanely slow if you live in a major city, basically unusable. Thats how they got me to switch from Tmobile, and then I was forced to upgrade for one of their real unlimited plans, service is excellent though.

I'm guessing because it's only priced for 5+ lines.

I am considering switching over 4 lines from T-Mobile. The $1,000 trade-in credit for phone and the $200 gift card per line transferred makes it a more tempting offer.

We are a very low data usage customer, my wife and I are happy with 1 GB data per month per line. Since mostly we are in wifi area, this much data is sufficient. I have gone with USMobile a MVNO of Verizon. I basically get Verizon 5G service and all I pay is about $11.50 per line per month including all taxes. The downside of going with a MVNO are

(1) We have to buy our own phone
(2) There is a possibility that the network gets crowded and Verizon deprioritzes our data. In fact, I have never felt this.

This plan is called Pooled data plan and it is not easy to find on USMobile site. Go to https://www.usmobile.com/shared-data-plans to figure your expected cost including taxes. Even for higher data usage customers this plan may workout since extra data only costs $2/GB. If anybody decides this plan is for them, I can give a referral which has a very small benefit. USMobile used to let you try their network for 3 months for free, hopefully we can still find that deal. USMobile customer service promptly helps on small issues. Just do not ask them to solve difficult problems.
