Make sure you use tire shine products where you wont care if they leave long lasting stains on the pavement because they do.

I always apply the dressing on an applicator instead of the tire to prevent stains on the driveway. This also eliminates having to wipe the wheels down from overspray.

Depends on the type of tire foam/shine you use. Nowadays most are water based and safe to use. Some older ones contained distillates that could encourage cracking.
