The marketing is that it can be recharged from an EV charger, not that it is meant to recharge your EV.

As of 2023, standalone battery storage qualifies under the IRA. You don't need this to be part of a solar system anymore to qualify.

J1772 @3.4kwh; takes ~1.7 to fill up at an EV station.

Tesla superchargers are now open to non tesla cars.
Tesla Superchargers are DC. The EV charging input for this unit is J1772 Level 2 which is 240V 16A AC.

This design makes lot more sense than the Delta pro. 10kWh is substantial for $4K
I agree. It makes a lot of sense to use as a backup during power outages.

That looks like the rich solar setup that Will Prowse reviewed recently:

He was a bit harsher than I thought it deserved, I like the clean simplicity of it and 2 of the 10kw in split phase would make a pretty decent backup with room go to to 40kw easily... Although that is using 2 battery banks.

Very good deal on a good portable battery. Lots of competitors coming soon in this space though, at $0.5-0.7/Wh

Anyone using this for a tax credit is an idiot, however. And anyone who claims the home solar credit but uses it as a portable battery I hope gets audited
Did someone piss in your Cheerios this morning 😳

So this is essentially a 300AH lipo4 battery with a charge controller and a huge inverter (that can do 30 amps)?
No. This 75Ah @ 48v. Don't assume that everything you see is 12v.

Is it just me or, if you don't care about portability, you could spend a lot less to just get some SOK or Weize batteries (e.g. 3*12v100ah @ $319 -> $957)? I haven't looked at 3600w inverters though...

Feels that way. Off white unit can blend in better in the corner of the garage.
10kWh seems appropriate size for shorter by more frequent outages related to high wind. Hopefully more will welcome stackable options that don't take more floor space and have super thick cables fully outside.

So you can take this to an EV charger like Tesla and charge it during power outages (assuming the charging station has power of course)?
Wait, what? You really did not think this through did you? This will already be charged, ready and waiting for power outage. That's like asking if you wait to get gas from a station pump for a gas generator after the electric that powers the pumps has went out. This really isn't a hard concept, but I guess for some its more than challenging, wow...

Why? It's probably enough to run your refrigerator and Internet overnight vs having no battery backup for your solar power during an outage.
What about on my second home? AKA my boat.

What part of "assuming the charging station has power" are you having difficulty with?

This appears to be a bargain IF you don't want to upgrade to 240v split phase in the future. Very tempting.

I know that you can buy a pro + extra battery and when you plug in the pro - both will be charged.
Is there anyway to buy 2 pros (to link for 220v) and have both charge (as I only have one outlet available)
There is a switch on the back of the units to limit charging. If you flip both units to limit, you can use a single socket to charge both but it will be at a half rate.

This design is probably 3 years? Old by now. I would guess they are working on 2.0 maybe with better solar specs, or GaN, more usb c and more passive cooling/quieter fans.

What's the battery kwh in this? If I have a powerwall installed at my house, any way to connect this up the system to charge via solar and use it for power also?
