Very confusing product and design! The first one I ordered (second picture) makes sense and is the reason I ordered another set. The drop down bar is 2 1/4" and penetrates both plate holes giving it a solid connection; no slop, no play. I ordered a second 'of the same product' and what came in has a 1 1/4" drop down bar which only penetrates the top plate hole and has quite a bit of play (first image). Why you would make a plate, with two holes, and a bar the only engages one of them makes zero sense. It's better than nothing but I haven't been able to find another lock with a 2 1/4" drop. Just an FYI review
or legalize all meds and give them away ...crime goes bye bye
