Those look to be the 2 advantages over just using bluetooth.

any slight internet interruption desyncs my controller. only fix is restarting the launcher

How is it a disadvantage that the controller is able to utilise a feature that gives you lower latency on Amazon's LUNA gaming service?

It's still a perfectly capable bluetooth controller for other devices too.

It is however concerning that SpacedPimp has issues with the controller de-syncing if internet disconnects.
