I have these, they are damn near impossible to get out of the case, need to use a pliers most of the time. Maybe I need to attack the case with a blowtorch or something to soften/deform it (or maybe I am missing some sort of trick). Good bits tho.

Unfortunately most of the Milwaukee cases are like this. I've got a couple of their bit sets and have the same problem. If you look at other deal postings for Milwaukee bits it's probably the #1 most common complaint.

Too many good HD deals getting posted this week, lol. I've ordered 3 different of the hackable DeWalt deals. BrickSeek shows 44 available in my store, so we'll see what the in-store price is tomorrow.

I could pretty easily recommend these at MSRP let alone $8, one of my favorite bit sets.

Agreed. Picked up 3 set. Nothing at where they were supposed to be. They were hanging at random spots no where near the drill bits section.

homedepot.com says nothing anywhere in the NY/NJ/PA area around me, brickseek disagrees... not sure who to trust, brickseek has let me down many times in the past Wink
not a fan of using an impact for a drill, they're just not as good at drilling as a drill... also much more convenient to have a drill with the bit you need and a driver with the bit you need, for say pilot holes and screws for framing. for 8$, i'd buy a few just to have the bits laying around, drill chuck won't care if she's round or hex.

also not sure why people have such a hard time with Milwaukee cases... i find it perfectly easy to pull bits out and reinsert. much nicer than my dewalt cases, especially in the winter... those stupid little tabs get hard and don't want to conform when you're putting bits back in Wink

Got these last time. They are super sharp and super hard to get out of the case. Get ready for lots of cursing and lots of cut fingers, but for $8 cuts through wood,PVC, and a car's firewall like a hot knife through butter.

I'm a bit leery of impact drill bits. Most of the bits I've snapped were impact ones. I also don't like the wobble when inserted into the driver. Good to have in a pinch but I'd rather drill with a drill, which can also fit impact bits in the chuck (securely) or with a hex bit adapter if you only have impact bits handy.

Thanks OP for the find. These bits work great for me in impact or chucked in drill. As for the case, I toss the Milwaukee cases and use the dewalt cases with the one see thru side and the latch that extends beyond the case. Those are the best bit cases to me. Use what works for your hands!

I was able to get 48-89-4670 for the clearance price. At the time it looked to be what was being cleared, but maybe not.
