Many people try to avoid plastics where possible. I don't notice metal bottles making water taste off, but that is a fairly common complaint. Glass would suit both of those reasons pretty well.

I got 2 of these when they were on sale for a similar price. I paid more for the blue tie dye because I liked the design. It's an okay bottle. I like the glass and texture on the outside to help grip. The top is pretty cheap and I assume that will break before the bottle. I think I prefer the Ello glass bottles. These are just okay.

Yeah, I have steel. It leeches a metal taste, which I kind of like. Iron is good. Some people dislike it enough to buy titanium, which has no leech but is insanely expensive.

I can't really taste plastic but it does leech. It's an open question of whether that's harmful. We really don't know & some like to err on the side of caution.

I'm curious about glass but worry about breaking. Silicone bumper should help with that. OTOH, wouldn't that make it more difficult to see cracks?

I personally use a giant half-gallon stainless steel water bottle and it's awesome. I don't notice any taste of metals and it keeps ice frozen for days

I just got these last week. Good size to handle or put in backpack... not too big, not too small. Hinge is very hard to open, so I have to unscrew the lid to drink. Rating maybe 3.5 ⭐

Got one of these for the other half last time they were posted. The hinge on the top cap was actually impossible to open. I have no idea if the tolerances were off at the factory that day or what, but I applied enough force that I could feel the plastic starting to crack and it refused to open.

Returned. Wasn't impressed enough with the design or quality to try again with one of these.

I got one of these the last time they were on sale for around $10. I think it's pretty neat! I like the texture on the glass, I like the color changing, and I didn't have any issues with the lid.

I'm drinking water out of a stainless contigo and a stainless reduce at the moment and I don't taste a thing from either of them. Weird that your container does. Do you put other things other than water in it?

I got one of these and the lid opens when I don't want it to (subsequently spilling from the side of my backpack) and doesn't open easily when I do want it to
