Not really any reviews yet on this and I haven't taken mine out of the box yet since it's not yet the season but I've had different Hisense products throughout the many years and never had an issue before.
I recommend to anyone that doesn't know much about the different between single and dual hose and wants to learn, go watch Technology Connections video on Youtube about portable air conditioners. Very interesting and informative.

is it a heat pump? (then yes, more efficient)
or it's still converting electricity directly to heat? (then no)
Decided to replace it with the Midea 12k Inverter dual hose unit before I knew about this sale. I have a 10k u-shaped window unit in my office that I love and heavily swayed my decision.

Should I buy two of these or one single larger unit?
The central HVAC simply cannot keep this room cool with the thermostat on the other end of the house.
I realize this is a bandaid but, not springing for a new HVAC and don't really want to do a split.
Thoughts?

More info about the portable air conditioner. What I don't get is that it says that it is suitable for rooms 550 square foot or less. On a lot of BTU charts 8000 BTU is typically for rooms around 300 to 350 square foot. Can 8000 BTU really be suitable for 550 square foot rooms?
I've looked around for a while (BJs, Walmart, Townfair Tire, Tirerack, etc). I've had great luck with all, but Costco is so easy to deal with. I had a dead battery and they didn't ask any questions. They actually didn't have the battery I needed and gave me a full refund.
