1. This is for cloud gaming (streaming) and android games. It can play emulators, up through some PS2... (So, PS1, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, GameCube (some), Wii (some), NDS, 3DS (some))
2. It has a way better screen. (1080p).
3. It was a hard sell at launch for $350, but for $250, its really nice.
4. Get both, SD and this, if you can afford it. They serve two different functions.

I personally got rid of my SD and am waiting for my Retroid Pocket Flip, because I didn't like the SD and I love me some clamshells.
I bought this. In addition to everything above, it also has fantastic battery life, ergonomics, & weight, It's definitely a fair price at $250, particularly when I compare it to the notion of using a telescopic controller with one of my old phones. I wanted something to really make Android gaming/emulation worthwhile for me and I think this finally does it.
