Just so people know, this is 24 inches deep. Works as a workbench or a desk, but 30 inches for a desk is really ideal. 30" lets you move your keyboard and write some notes down, or tinker with something on the desk.
I've built 2 desks that are 32" deep using solid core doors from these big box stores. I think 24" would be a good size if you're willing to mount your computer monitors on the wall, or on an arm connected to the desk, but otherwise I agree because monitor stands are so large
This doesnt come with hardware (which I assume amounts to 4 bolts) and is unfinished but is slightly larger and $5 cheaper at its regular price: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampt.../319764508

Nearly $8 a bf for mystery wood, no thanks. I guess if you can't build a top your self it might be OK, but there are other solid options out there for less money

I know this one has already been stained and finished but if I were to buy one that hasn't been stained how much more would it cost to have it stained? I'm guessing around 30-40?

Why not just stain it yourself.

Get an orbital sander and you should be able to do it pretty easily.

Yea I understand that I would have to do it myself, but how much would it cost for the staining materials.

You can make a workbench super easy when you pick this up at HD. Buy two of those $25 wood sawhorses , then bolt this down to those saw horses. Use a plunge router to sink the bolts into the table so nothing protrudes. super easy and will work great
HD also sells various individual table legs and underside mounting brackets fairly cheap for anyone wanting a bit more finished look. Or good old 4x4s with 2x4 bracing for a workbench.

I gotta assume he's talking about this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampt.../319764508

There's a few out there with a similar price. I searched for butcher block and put a price range of $100-$150: https://www.homedepot.com/b/Kitch...2l3?NCNI-5
I'm using for a camper so prefer the lesser thickness and weight of the husky. But it looks like the Hampton Bay counter might be a better deal if you are fine to finish.

I just bought this a few weeks ago for a Deskhaus Apex Pro 4 leg electric adjustable height desk frame. This top was on sale for $160. Going to see if they'll price adjust and refund the difference.

Works great for a standing desk as long as you have the correct monitor stand. The monitor stand needs to be able to swing the monitor way back near the edge of the desk.

For 4k monitors, 24" desk depth (+ whatever distance you are away from edge of desk) is actually ideal.

You might want to do that tonight. When I click the link, it says it's a special deal that ends in 8 hours. It usually isn't a problem for a price adjust as long as it was the same item and fairly recent because otherwise people just buy it again and return it with the old receipt.

Yep, I am in an SMS chat right now waiting for agent to respond.

edit: Done, price adjustment complete. I had to use their chat bot on google.com, their own SMS bot doesn't work.

Probably under $20 if you already have a sander and papers of various grits.

Agree. Seems very tough to find a reasonable 60 - 72" width x 30" desk top
I bought 3 of these for my workstation:

I'm thinking of building a wood stand for my Primo Large Oval Grill. I could buy 2. Cut a hole in one for the grill and place the grill onto the 2nd one. Do you think this wood would be good for that?
