Come on. Do not add pre-conditions to earn more. We are talking about no pre-conditions to earn 2% cash back on everything purchase and you just can't find the card to earn more. If you like conditions such as annual fee, member to open a bank account etc, that is a different thing. People may not like those conditions.

By transferring to travel partners for the most part- though there's potentially other ways to make them worth more depending on your other Amex cards and accounts.
For example there a card that will get you a 35% point refund for airline bookings in the portal (one airline of your choice in coach, any airline you want in business class), effectively making all points 1.35 cents instead of 1....so a 2x earning card would be 2.7% cash equivalent.
There's also another card that if you hold it you can cash points in for 1.1 cents directly, meaning a 2x MR card is 2.2% cash back on everything- though unless you never travel it's not a good value on points compared to use for travel.
But if you hold neither of those cards then transfers to airlines is the way.
Literally none of that is true.
I recently got 7.35 cents per point booking a business class roundtrip to japan for example (I got a ticket that was about $7000 cash if I'd paid cash for about $750 plus 85,000 points- so 7.35 cents per point)
So just under 15% cash back equivalent on my spending using a 2x MR earning card.
You certainly won't ALWAYS get that good a value...but it's incredibly, trivially, easy to beat 1 cent a point, even for coach fares, via transfers.
The PP benefit on Amex is actually the worst in the industry since it does not give you free meals at restaurants like the benefit from Chase or Citi does.
There's many OTHER reasons one might want to hold amex cards, or learn how to get value from their points- but that's not really one of em.
Ok, I'm pretty new to all this. There are many posts at various online forums as well as here about how booking travel via Amex/Chase points is not really cheaper - I don't mean the kind of deals you got but basic booking via their portal.
Now again you might find it 'trivially easy', I'd like to know exactly how.
As for PP meals, my home airport has one place offering that and its in a different terminal. For most flights I prefer lounge access and those have food anyway. I traveled my whole life without any lounge so it feels nice, but again I can do without it so I'm thinking of canceling if I can get the same benefits from other cards.
I know there are many channels of people flying for free/cheap on business class as well as whole forums dedicated to it, I was never able to get it to work, I right now only have 2 cc's - my bank and Amex, Pretty sure I'll get approved for this. If there are some better deals or one that gives me an easy way to fly business, would love to know.

Yeah, that's an average of what you'd get transfering, usually for coach fares... so with that average you get ~3.6% on a 2x MR card....versus a mere 2% with a card like this WF one.
You can do better or worse at times depending what you're booking of course.
THEN you need to see what the airline point is worth. In most cases it's more than 1 cent, sometimes quite a bit more, depending on what you're booking.
That's the whole point of doing it this way.

I mean, I already told you- you transfer to airlines then book reward tickets.
The best options will depend on a number of factors like:
Where you're starting from
Where you're going
When you're going
What class of travel you want to book (getting 1.5-2.5 cents per mile in coach is pretty typical... business and first you can get 3-5 cents a mile very easily, and sometimes 5-10 cents a mile.... but that might not be worth it to you if it's a shorter flight or you're the type who can go dead asleep in a tight coach seat on a long flight
A decent starting point, assuming you're going somewhere relatively popular, is just google "Best use of points for hawaii" or london, or japan, or whatever the place you want to go is.
That'll usually pull up some of the big travel/points blogs with articles on the better sweet spots in airline transfer options... and from there you can see which might work for you depending where you're starting from, and what class of travel you want.
25,000 miles, roundtrip, in business class to Hawaii using Turkish air miles to book United airlines flights, non-stop, from various US airports (DC, Houston, Chicago, Denver, LA, Newark, and SF)-- or 15k, roundtrip, in Coach.
26,000 miles roundtrip to Dublin in coach during off-peak season.
Another popular one is transferring to Avios, where you can use 7500 miles to book short-haul domestic flights on American Airlines.

Well, an Amex Business Platinum card gives you 35% back when you use points (on any airline) to book business class tickets (or one specific airline you pick for coach ones)
But, while 1.35 cents a point is better than 1 cent cash value, for business especially it's usually VERY easy to beat that with airline transfers.
Really though if you want to do serious travel, especially in business class, you need a LOT more credit cards.
The most profitable, fastest, way by far to rack up lots of points is churning through new credit card signup bonuses.
Even single you can easily rack up 500k or more points each with Chase and Amex that way just as fast as you can comfortably and organically do the required spends for the signups... (and then do it again if you have a partner, with referral bonuses added into the mix)
Once you've burned through all the good signups- and that'll take you a couple years unless you're used to doing 5-figures of credit card spend every month- it's also nice to have enough cards that you can insure most of your spending is happening on cards where you're getting 3x-5x points per dollar spent by having cards that cover all your common spend categories with bonuses for those categories.
This is one of those things that does require some time investment initially to get a good handle on how things work... but once you've got the basics down (knowing the churning rules for each of the few major card issuers for example) it's pretty trivial amount of effort going forward and you get to take thousands of dollars in free flights annually afterward... (plus there's a decent amount of free hotels to be had with card churning too)

I have Old bad credit (charge offs etc) from decades ago.
But want to use a credit card to pay off a delinquent utility bill to rebuild my credit.
Would this card be good? Or too hard to get?
Or any suggestions from anyone?
Dispute the delinquency, you never saw any bill, right? They'll give you a call and then after they send you a letter stating after you pay the bill, in writing you have paid in full and the collection has been paid - and it will not be shown on your credit report as one. (Phone call, without admitting to any debts, make sure they do all of those in the letter)
Then, get a capital one platinum CC, pay early and on time for 6 months and then see what offers you're getting in the mail.
Amex allows you to apply without any hard inquiries, unless you are approved and decide to accept the card.
For chase/bofa/wells fargo, get a checking account (they all have sign up bonuses currently) and after ~45 days you'll have a much higher chance of being approved than if you did not have a bank account with one of them.
Chase has a 5/24 rule, so I'd go for them and grab that $200 checking account bonus and then if you are approved for the freedom unlimited, you'll be eligible for the $200 sign up bonus as well after $500 spend
Once you have a credit line with chase/bofa you can close the bank account(s) it's just a matter of building a "relationship"
Stay away from Credit One (looks like capital one logo) at all costs, although if your credit is really shot it's not the worst idea just need to be very mindful about paying and other fees.

Good luck, it's easier than it sounds
I did call them and mention that too the rep but they turned it over to collections and they weren't willing to negotiate with me at all, except for maybe a full payout.
Wastewater must be ran by mobsters lol
You can try the evergreen visa that provides you with the pre-qualified test and has the same benefits as the Wells Fargo does. I have no idea how difficult to get the Wells Fargo Active Cash credit card but one cannot get this card if has applied for the other Wells Fargo credit card within 6 months.
Do you know one can apply for this card if they have a Bilt mastercard they've applied for in the last 6 months? I was told Bilt's card system & services on the back-end is WF.
Does anyone know if this card has extend warranty.
Or recommend the card have the features?
I used my Chase Freedom card for extended warranty, it adds an extra year. I have used it for a few items like a digital camera and my xbox when it got the red ring of death lots of years ago and it was a very easy process when I did it. Chase has a Freedom Unlimited card with 1.5% cash back or their Freedom with rotating 5% groups. Nerd Wallet shows a 300$ bonus for signing up.

Spend just $500 total within the first 3 months, then you'll get the $200 reward. It's that easy. And yes, that counts for the reward.

For current values I found this - https://www.businessins
it says Amex MR is worth 1.8c.
here are the transfer values - https://upgradedpoints.
for most international airlines its 1:1

Also those are actually 1.5x UR and 5x UR, so if you travel and have other chase cards value can be significantly more than 1.5% and 5%
