I would say overall the most recent reboots of Modern Warfare have been the best in the series in a long time.
Since they do an annual cycle for each call of duty title, its been getting harder and harder for developers to push out quality content year after year. That's why COD has been using different developers and switching to a 3-year development period between companies, so Infinity Ward, the developer behind Modern Warfare in 2019, also developed Modern Warfare 2 in 2022. Treyarch is behind Black Ops 4 and Black Ops Cold War, while Sledgehammer made Vanguard. It definitely gets confusing, but most players agree that Infinity Ward makes the best games out of the series. Treyarch always does Black Ops, which also means they do Zombies, which has also become a cult favorite amongst players. Sledgehammer typically makes the weakest games

Dammit man, thank you. I was trying to figure out the order of release. I have MW2, do you recommend any of the other ones?
Not really. Vanguard still has a big player base but I tried installing mw1(2019) and maybe it was a bug but the servers just said they weren't available. Ended up buying mw2 on their current sale.
