Not really sure this deal is very "slick" though. These knives are pretty marked up under normal circumstances, and don't really break into slick territory unless they are 50% off or so. There are SO many comparable knife options today at lower price points.

According to ccc the lowest was $113 in 2017. Lower $130s is probably the best price under inflation period. Its wonderful aesthetically. Useful knife for chopping veggies.

Sure! I suggest you also do your own research as there are many different blade steels and types of knives, but here are some other knives you can look at that can be found for the same or less money:
-Yaxell VG-10 knives

-Enso Chef knife VG-10

Unfortunately on the Miyabi, Macy's has both upped the price substantially above MSRP to account for coupons, and additionally removes them from stock when stacking promos are available.

Shame, because the Birchwood series is incredibly beautiful, and really nice knives using SG2 steel which I find superior to VG10 or VGMax
