BUY something when you already spent $50K+ on the vehicle when $20K vehicles come with it standard.
Making excuse for the lack being able to drive 300 miles going 75mph but telling us to just accept it and deal with it seriously? That doesn't solve the limitation. Seriously not everybody wants to stop 20-40mins
PGE will continue to raise rates in CA, NEM 3 is in effect and purchasing solar ROI is longer or not worth it. The gas prices have fluctuated, and when it dipped in the low 3s, all of a sudden the Tesla crowd grew quiet with that line you used. Yet electricity rates have and continue to go up. Supercharging rates are going up.
Your narrowminded view is showing your hurt by the truth of Teslas today and as more people are starting to see it and the boujee rep of Tesla is starting to diminish you are throwing outlandish reasoning and trying to use your acceptance as the view for everyone in the world?

EV is the future but not now. It's still in it's infancy and its nice to watch you and the others do the preliminary testing of it. EVs wont be mainstream until it can achieve 500 mile range going 75mph in ideal conditions, because when its not, cold, battery degradation, accessories on etc, it will offset and still get 300 miles. Now getting 200-220 miles is the more norm for those who actually drive and use it everyday for all scenarios. And at $50K+ that isnt cost effective compared to ICE
If its your weekend warrior car for fun or quick sprints sure, i see that like those who have a sports car or something, but for daily driver--again for all occasions, ICE is still better
but it's not in its infancy, the car itself is quite advanced on an advanced platform. The battery tech is on the lower side across the board but still better than lead acid…
the car holds value really well too, you're both right it's just a difference in perspective. We don't all have "time" to wait for better battery tech
As far as Lucid, they are struggling to survive and might have to eventually bow out.
100k+ for a family sedan with no charging infrastructure of its own.

I just bought my tesla(Y) a week ago and now they reduced the price. It might happen again.. even after paying 60+k, you really can't use this vehicle for long drives. Of course you can use it, but you always have to worry about charging stations for every 200 miles.. I would suggest to take Model 3 atleast if you are really interested.. Model y #wasteofmoney..
