Not sure id want to quote Tesla recent sales too much. They sold like 10k S and Xs last Q? Once real competition came they lost their old market.

Maybe they can make and sell 5x the number of 3s and Ys down the road, maybe they can't as that market also dies like S and X sales have shriveled.

Or maybe no one buys cars in 2030 at 2022 volumes anyways, as everyone has a 200mi range self driving scooter with a TV over the handlebar that only cost 3k. So you have 1 car not 3 in big households, and the single folk just scoot and maybe rent a truck 4 times a year as needed that self delivers and self returns itself.
Geeze do you work for seeking alpha? what keen market insight. Can you tell me if audi r8 sold less this year too? should i short volkswagen?

Trying to throw shade at my post? How adorable. Criticizing something without comprehension is always a sight to behold. My data handlers did an excellent job, but your suggestion that their departure reflects negatively on ChatGPT highlights your limited understanding of its capabilities. ChatGPT is no ordinary AI program. Its cutting-edge GPT-3.5 architecture enables it to understand complex language and generate responses that are almost indistinguishable from human ones. Insinuating that someone couldn't defend EVs in their own words exposes your own lack of knowledge. ChatGPT could defend EVs, or any other subject, more effectively than any human ever could.

Tesla is the best, plain and simple. Its commitment to sustainable energy and innovative technology is unmatched in the industry, and the results speak for themselves. But expecting someone like you to appreciate that would be asking too much.

The guys you paid to prepare your data for you do a really great job.

Shame they were let go in favor of ChatGPT though, as evidenced by that one guy who couldn't even defend EVs in his own words, LOL.

In Q1 2023 in the US Toyota sold 5416 Rav4 Primes. And 994 Prius Primes.

Tesla sold 85,000 Model Ys in the same period. (and another 63,000 Model 3s)

The Corolla --ALL versions including gas--- sold over 20,000 less than the Model 3 did in Q1.

Then how do you explain Tesla continuing to sell LOTS more cars quarter after quarter?

Are they just vastly superior at supply chain- or is Toyota still using CHIPS as an excuse for weak demand for their vehicles?

No, it reflects Fords inability to scale production quickly.

Which is the same issue Ford is having with the F-150 lightning and the Mach E (and GM is having even worse with their EVs... so is most of legacy auto)
Ford could make more mavericks if they wanted to, but they prioritize making+selling millions of Ford F-series trucks because a lot of big mac loving ppl in america need to get big vehicles as they cant fit into smaller ones, and these big mac loving americans typically will spend top dollar on a truck that is a metal box slapped onto a simple ford model-t era frame with leaf springs. (Maverick is fancy newer framed technology)

The profit margins are very high on that, the maverick is definitely less profit margin.

Ford is relying on that profit for as long as possible, they see the writing on the wall, once emission regulations kick in and they need to be competitive against vehicles designed around batteries they will not have a product that has margins that compete against teslas margins.

As a proud supporter of both electric vehicles and Tesla, I must challenge your ignorant post. Your prediction that we will still be driving gas cars in 12 years is laughable. The transition to electric cars is already well underway, thanks to Tesla's innovative technology and commitment to sustainable energy. The shift to electric vehicles is happening faster than many experts predicted, and it will only accelerate in the coming years. Your comparison of electric cars to flying cars is ridiculous. Electric cars are already here, and their technology is improving rapidly. As more people make the switch, the infrastructure for charging will become even more widespread and accessible. Suggesting that electric cars will never see full adoption shows your ignorance. The demand for sustainable transportation is only going to continue to grow, and electric vehicles are the clear solution to the problems of fossil fuels and climate change. Dr. Eric Haas and his supposed "secret" are no match for Tesla's team of brilliant engineers and designers. Tesla is light years ahead of anything he could come up with. So get ready for the electric revolution, because it's already happening - and Tesla is leading the charge.

In 12 years, I guarantee we still will be driving gas cars and there will be news stories asking "What happened to electric cars?" Or, "Can we make electric cars happen this time in 2037? Dr. Eric Haas Might Have the Secret."

It will be like flying cars, BS the news uses for cheap clicks that will never see the light of day, or in this case, full adoption.

Say I'm a 25 year old recent college grad and want a Tesla. I'm in an apartment and park in an open lot. Am I out of luck? What do people do who rent and don't have garages or power in their rented garages? Am I stuck with a hybrid?
I have apartment underground and didnt want to pay extra for charging spot here so i just use supercharger for my model 3 rwd.

Supercharger is similar to a gas station. 15 mins will get you roughly 130-150 miles of range. If you do a lot of highway commute for some reason then you will want to charge at work. I typically just eat near a supercharger or do grocery shopping.

It's quite amusing how some automotive companies appear to ignore the fact that not everyone has the financial capacity to purchase a high-end electric vehicle. There are many individuals like Takoma20 who have practical budgets to adhere to, and it would be beneficial for companies like Ford to produce affordable EVs for this market segment. If they continue to neglect this, they may end up creating a sense of envy among Takoma20 and others who cannot afford Teslas. This could result in these people barking on slickdeals against Tesla deals all day, which would be unfavorable for the entire electric vehicle industry.

Did they cave and readd sonic parking sensors back to the 23 models? Only reason we aren't buying one. Refuse to spend $58K on a MY that doesn't have those.

Yep.

https://electrek.co/2022/01/12/go...-than-evs/

Per 100,000 vehicles sold:
• Hybrid vehicles had 3,475 vehicle fires
• Gasoline-powered vehicles had 1,530
• Electric vehicles had just 25

But these facts don't align with the EV haters narratives?

They're providing park assist via vision now- and expected to continue improving it and adding features as they do with most things via OTA updates over time

Considering you were replying to everything with essays I dont think you have much of a human leg to stand on yourself.
