Metro by T-Mobile Corporate Stores [metrobyt-mobile.com] have 64GB Apple iPhone SE (2022) on sale for $99.99 after instant $330 automatic rebate when you Port-In a number to a new line on their $40 30-day Metro prepaid plan. Most stores also charge a one-time $20 Activation Fee.

Most of the other recent iPhone SE offers have been for the older, 2020 model with the A13 chip and 4G radio. The ATT version was $100 at Walmart, but other carrier versions are still $150.

How to buy:
  1. Visit a participating corporate store location (strongly recommended, as pricing/fees can vary at non-corporate 'authorized dealer' locations).
  2. Port-in a non-T-Mobile/T-Mobile-based MVNO number to a new line on Metro's $40/month prepaid plan
    • Number must not have been active on the T-Mobile network within the past 180 days.
  3. Doing so will make you eligible to get the 64GB Apple iPhone SE (2022) at sign-up for $99.99.
  4. Price: $99.99 (phone) + 1-month of the $40 unlimited prepaid plan + $20 one-time activation fee = $159.99 total.
    • Note: You may be presented with the option to purchase insurance (priced at $10) for the device by the representative / on your invoice. You may accept or decline and still qualify for this offer (optional).

Notes:
  • You may cancel at any time or change your service to a different plan option at any time, if desired.
  • No contract or credit check required (only the initial $40 / 1st month required to get the device for free).
  • Officially, the phone can be unlocked after 180 consecutive days (6 months) of paid service on Metro.
  • Unofficially, the phone should automatically unlock after 180 days as long as you don't port the number out, even if you don't pay for service.

iPhone SE (2022) Features:
  • 12MP Wide Camera
  • 7MP FaceTime HD Camera
  • 4.7" 1334 x 750 Retina HD display
  • 5G Cellular
  • Advanced Single-Camera System
  • A15 Bionic Chip
  • 15 Hours of Video Playback
  • IP67 Water Resistance
  • Touch ID
  • iOS 15
  • Fast‑Charge Capable (Power Adapter sold separately)

Eh, SDers know how to say "no" to needless crap. I'm happy to put up with a salesperson for ~10 minutes if it means saving a decent chunk of change.

It's cheaper than any competing 5G iPhone options and, unlike the prepaid ATT devices which require 6 months of service to unlock, Metro is known to only require a month of service for those who want the unlock. You still have to wait the 6 months, but you don't have to pay for them.

It's new hardware. It's cheap (they sell used for more). And unlocking just requires patience.

Since virtually ALL the corp stores are gone as of April 1, you will have insurance almost for sure, as they often won't give you the deal without it (not required but remember these are franchise operators and can insist of add-ons). Additionally they will most likely (depending on your state-but most states) add on sales tax on the full pre-discount value of the phone, so add another $40 +/-.

One thing about the activation fee, which was waived in late Feb and may be back, or insisted on by the smarmy dealers, I have read and not confirmed that if you ask for esim activation without sim card (Psim) they cannot charge that $20 fee. My guess is that they would say "esim is not an option", but again I don't have a data point here.

The thread about the iPhone 11 has over 1600 posts and I know you won't read it but there are plenty of horror stories about the authorized dealers.

This is my brief attempt to get you ready for some grief! Be prepared!

Where are the corporate stores? I did a search for corporate stores within 60 miles of my major city but didn't see any. I panned out to the state level and didn't see any either. I panned out to see the whole USA and it still doesn't show any...

Came to Coporate sotre in Riverside CA to get zero deal for Iphone 11.
They said Iphone 11 is out of stock and asked to select another phone.
Plan to get SE 3, but They added activation fee+ insurance fee+ tax on full price. Also ask you to buy other high price accessories like plug, case, cable....
I had negative experience with Metro as they work like bait and switch.

California requires tax on the full retail price of a phone bundled with a service plan. That's not Metro "cheating" you. If you buy a device from ATT, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc. you'll be hit with the same.

Locked to Metro for 6 months. If you buy the phone today for $160 and toss it in a drawer, it'll be unlocked by the end of October. Won't find it anywhere else for cheaper.

Meh deal, i was hoping they'd be giving away the iphone 12 for free after the 15 came out. Didn't expect them to charge for the SE 3, maybe if it was 128Gb.
