As someone who really doesn't use triple A batteries much. Maybe 2 devices, am I better off just using disposables?

Depends on usage. At this size; it's better to use standard batteries on heavier loads.

These official Eneloop's are excellent for remotes, wireless keyboards, etc.. Measure your loads and then decide.

What heavier loads? Most of the AA powered devices are small things like this. Like I'm not gonna power my lawn mower with them.

Short answer. Yes. Buying this many rechargeable AAA batteries that you don't use often simply doesn't make sense.

Exactly. Buying 16 of these when you don't have many devices that use them doesn't make sense.

Sorry; no. There are plenty of devices that are far more demanding than a very intermittent remote control.

Perhaps more investigation might help you.

You could buy AA shells and out AAA batteries inside. I have been looking for a deal for AA for long time, there was none for a long time
