Stay away from this refrig. I bought one last June and it came with a defective freezer door. So, the repair service came out finally in June and said the freezer door was slightly bent, and they ordered a new part. I finally received the new part yesterday! That's 9 months to get the problem corrected. Even the repair person admitted this refrig is a problem.
it is 879 at lowes so this is a great deal
+ this is included

thanks bxgirl

Good deal. Got one locally for 580 with tax delivery and install. Reviews are iffy though.

I've been wanting to get a 2nd refrigerator to keep in the garage. Would this work or do I need something specifically designed or "rated" to not be in air conditioned space?

You need one that is garage ready if your garage isn't properly sealed. Basically it depends on the temperature. Humidity plays a factor but not as much as temp. Also depends on your area; if winters aren't too cold; most will work fine.

Don't know, but have seen here on SD that apparently refrigerators these days aren't made for such use. 20 years ago, I had an old refrigerator from about 1970 under my carport here in SC where it's hot/humid & worked fine and dandy. Repped, OP.

Thanks, I don't know what it means for garage to be properly sealed but will look it up. I'm in the southeast, lowest lows are usually in the 30s but sometimes it gets into the 20s.

I bought this from Best Buy a couple years ago for $750 when my fridge went out. Been working great. Food stays fresh a lot longer than my old fridge 😂

We bought this fridge as a back up fridge the last time it went on sale. It works excellent. Costco delivered it, but we installed it and unwrapped it. Follow the directions in the instructions. I think some of the negative reviews are from removing a piece of styrofoam in the fridge section that needs to be kept in place. If they didn't read the directions people probably thought that styrofoam was packing material.

Your garage should have insulation and drywall installed if you plan to have a fridge or freezer in it. Some garages do not, instead the framing 2x4s are left exposed. The main thing is that the garage temperature must stay under 110 and above 45.

Thanks and repped, my garage walls drywall but no idea if there's insulation behind it. Only one way to find out!
