These Sun Joe images always have me saying "when the heck did Ryobi come out with that"...then my soul gets crushed.

Edit: I've been corrected.

Interesting - I could use that.

Apparently, Ryobi does make such a unit, but tis only available in Australia!

Stihl has a better one (GTA 26). Dewalt makes one too (DCHT820P1).

LOL you call that a chainsaw? It's just pole saw, without a pole.

Bought for my lazy car camping gear set that will probably rarely get used.

Every time I see these I get half way to pulling the trigger, but eventually think through that the 9in wood blades on the cordless recip saw are working great for the same jobs I'd use this for, plus jobs bigger than this one could handle. And without the hassle of managing a chain and keeping it sharp. Is there a reason to get this I'm missing?

I've got a similar tool, and it seems fairly useless to me. I dont' really know where you would use this instead of just a decent pair or loppers. I did use it for cutting back some saw grass and it was mostly functional for that, but just really don't see these are a very useful tool.

Not sure on the price of this one, just commenting on the use case for the actual tool. I received mine as a gift and just really don't know what its intended for.

These zip through 1 - 3" branches, albeit it's a rather rough cut. I haven't had to adjust the chain on mine. I have a lot of fruit trees in my backyard, and some older trees have tons of growth to cut back. The cordless reciprocal saw, even with new wood blades, vibrated a lot, didn't cut through as quick, and it was just much more unwieldy to use with one hand while on a ladder or up in the tree. What I really need is a deal on the cordless lopper that makes clean cuts instead of murdering the branches like I've been doing.
