Such a pointless encumbrance to add to your controller. You're better off having a wireless Bluetooth keyboard next to you on the couch. Those tiny keys are probably barely more useable than just typing stuff out with your controller using the OSD keyboard.

Only thing I don't like is if you are using two ssds powered by the usbs it won't have enough power to power this dongle or at least I assume that is the reason. Anymore than one ssd and you'll probably have to have a powered USB hub too.

It's not to bad actually typing wise. But it does add weight and a little bit of a feel difference that takes some getting used to. It's usable though and not a big impedance. I look at it as more when you gotta chat not an all the time thing.

Just thought I would share my experience. I bought this as soon as the sale started and I tried to use it right away. It was really laggy and would either double type letters or miss key presses completely. I found it unbearable and ultimately returned it.

I got mine. The lights are very bright when pushing buttons. It actually makes me worried about battery life. The light is needed, I have one without and it just is needed, but I wish you could dim it some since it is pulling power from the controller.

I have a 360 controller with a chat pad. I can tell you that the 360 one is way better than the new ones. On the back of the controller, it curves more to the shape of your hand. It also snaps tightly to the controller grips because there are holes for the screws on the controller that it sinks into. The series one is only held at the middle and you can see it on the seams. That all being said, don't bother with the 360 ones if for PC. I hear they can work but I didn't want to jump through hoops. I got both on my desk and an ideal world for me would be series controller (with 360 X,Y,B,A buttons due to the tilt making A sometimes sticky) and a 360 chat pad.

It works on a windows 10 pc. I use mine during gaming. The one thing to note is some games get weird with it because you are effectively constantly moving between controller and keyboard as it is just registered by the PC as a normal keyboard and not some controller-extension. For example, in my use I have to click the pad twice sometimes with the first click being to tell the game I am switching to keypad input and the second click to execute the key press.
