It would be an ok deal if the ssd and PSU wasn't skimped. But it's a pre-built so expect bottom of the barrel parts.

Yes noted in description that it was 700 dollar during late 2022 sales. Up to folks to decide if they want to wait and see.

Why put a 5700G CPU in it with a 6600XT?
Vagaries of OEM economics, I suppose. But, it makes sense that they'd have integrated graphics if demand for gaming PC is uncertain. Maybe it saves them money from a diagnostic prospective.

If you have a Windows 7 PC with the keys, then you can use them for Windows 11.

FWIW, I upgraded few machines with the Win 7 pro keys to Win 11 pro.
There are multiple keys? I have an old 7 laptop and looking to build a new desktop. I saw something where you get a key from a registry file, do you need something else?

I concur. If you're so inclined, doing a home-built computer or having someone assemble one for you is superior in the quality of parts and reliability. My 5 year old home built supporting 4 monitors is still going strong. You can literally see the difference in quality on say the power supply compared to the cheap bottom of the barrel stuff they put in factory builds. My SeaSonic power supply is still under warranty for another 3 years (8 years total). Thanks for putting up the build list for comparison.

and if you have no desire to self-service or diagnose when problem occurs, and looking to completely rely on that person to do it for you for free, then please don't.

Well, what I mean is that if you have multiple old PCs with Windows 7 collecting dust, then you *potentially* have multiple Windows 7 keys. lol

For me, the key was on a sticker on the back of the laptop and used that to get to Windows 11 pro.

So, is it accurate to say that the only option for adding a SSD is a SATA 2.5"?
You could use a NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe x16 card in the PCIe expansion slot and put the SSD in that card.

Is there a way to support 2 NVME drives on this system without resorting to USB enclosures? I have a 1TB drive I'd want to use in this system but wouldnt want to lose the 500gb either.

I am also one of the people who bought this during the last BF.
It is definitely an upgrade compared to my old i5-4690k with an R9-390.

It has however a problem I am trying to solve through Costco Concierge Services.
Occasionally and randomly, the screen will go black and no combination of keys will fix it except for a hard reset. If it makes any difference, after the screen goes black, the sound coming off a YouTube video that may have been playing, will continue for about 1-1.5 minutes before stopping. The system is completely unresponsive after the black screen hits. After the hard reset, things work normally. This happens at random times and sometimes it can be more than 2 weeks between "incidents". Has anyone had problems like this?

There are currently 2 Lenovo prebuilts I am also looking at, 1 from best buy 1 from microcenter... I guess it depends on what's more valuable. This system is essentially in statis- you cant upgrade it but I dont think you really need to and if you need/want a better system look elsewhere. I just dont know how the 6600XT compares to the 3050/3060 and need to know how all 3 compare to my current i7-7700 w/ 1070 to know which way to go.

I bought a HP Pavilion TP01-2066 Desktop PC (which also uses a Ryzen 5700G, has two M.2 slots, one PCIe X16 slot and one PCIe x1 slot like the system in this deal) two years ago and, like you, wanted to add a NVME drive. I bought a SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 Card [amazon.com] and put a SK Hynix 1TB SSD in it. I am sure there are other NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe x16 cards available but the Sabrent has worked great for me.

Thank you that will prove to be very helpful. Now to decide do I get this or 1 of the lenovos. I just dont know which GPU is enough of an upgrade from a 1070.

Don't bother, it was $700 last black friday, it should be $600 or less by now.
Should be the same for everything else if that's your logic. But it isn't. Everything cost more today than 1-2 yrs ago

500 or less is wild. The cpu and gpu alone are worth around 350 bucks. 800 seems reasonable considering like 2 to 3 years ago you'd probably see prebuilts sporting 10400Fs and RTX 2060s with 8 to 16 gigs of ram for about a grand.
Agreed. The only time I saw something like that would be at a store specific closeout sale at 700 for lenovo 12700k 3060 desktop.

Bouncing ideas off the community on desktop for my kid playing roblox and lost ark.i may go on it to do some diablo 4.

I just got the vip outlet deal refurb rx 5600g/rx 5500/8gb/256 nvme for 360. Switched out to 2x16gb ram for $60. Total 420+tax. I have a 1TB nvme i'll be throwing in.

Comparing to this deal, the CPU here is about on par.
Ram is equal.
GPU is 2x as good but definitely not $280 better. I saw 6600-xt for $250 the other day and if I wait to upgrade down the line, it will be even cheaper.

I should skip this deal right?
For Roblox and lost ark, a decent APU would be fine (ex:5600g).

Diablo will need a mid range-ish card for 1080+ 60fps+, with details. So it depends on how much you will be using it for diablo.
