I kinda like it, except for the mesh part. How's that gonna work for a basketball shoe? Your feet's gonna get stomped on.

Basketball shoes in general are pretty fugly. They are big bulky bricks 🧱 you attach to you feet that make no sense to wear/use from an athletic perspective. Kobe basketball shoes are some of the more passable bball shoes and Kobe said he was inspired by soccer(football)⚽ shoes

It is a disposable for playing basketball. Not a fashion or cool shoe by any means
When a player does a deal with a brand like UA they know they are not going to ever be in the category of cool bball shoes like the players who launch a shoe with Nike

While I understand what you're saying, I disagree, the only Nikes that get released that look "cool" are Kyries and he's on a different planet, the Lebrons, KDs, and Giannis' are all pretty ugly these days and if you compare the styling to the actual Steph "pro" models that he wears, they actually look head and shoulders better than these. Either way, if you're buying basketball shoes for fashion, these ain't it.

Probably great gym shoes for circuits and even mildly heavy squats. The harder soles for better than lifting in running shoes.

To each their own, but gives someone, a kid even, an opportunity own a pair of UA bball shoes to play in. There was period in my life where I played in ProWings, so I don't frown anyone wearing anything. A shoe doesn't define a baller.
