  • Note: Device trade in must be in good condition to qualify. Trade-in values vary based on condition, year, and configuration of your eligible device, and are subject to change upon inspection.
Deal Instructions:
  1. Click "Buy" on the product page for Google Pixel 6a
  2. Select your color
  3. Select "Unlocked"
  4. Under "Have a phone to trade in?", click "Get estimate"
  5. Use the drop down menus to select your phone manufacturer, model, and storage size
  6. Select Yes or No for "Is your phone in good condition?"
  7. Click "Add trade-in"
  8. Select "Skip" under "Protect your Pixel"
    • Or select a coverage plan, which will add to your total price
  9. Click "Add to cart"
  10. Complete your purchase
  11. When your new phone arrives, transfer your data and factory reset your old device
  12. You'll get a prepaid trade-in kit to mail your old phone; be sure to ship it within 30 days, any later could change your estimate

I was thinking about this too.

If Google continues its generous trade-in values when the 7a is released, then grab a cheap 6a now and trading it in for a 7a might be a good plan too.

My biggest gripe, and it is a big one, is that Pixels have horrible overheating issues that have never been addressed. The latest models all have the same issue. If you live somewhere hot, expect your camera to never work and your phone to feel like its lighting a fire in your pocket. Incredible phone otherwise, but I switched to Samsung because of that after exclusively using Pixels for years.

Yes google can't seem to implement a decent fingerprint reader.

I have Pixel 3a and 4a. The overheating seems limited to shooting video and video chats. If you like to shoot long 4k videos, forget about Pixels.
