It means TeraBytes Written

It means how many it can write before the drive is considered dead. The higher that number the more reliable it is likely

There's other drives that are 200 (laughable) and others that are 600 which is okay in the middle. Did someone say 1600? Wow I think that's the highest I've seen

1TB is a bit short. I'm looking at good 2TB gen 4 drive for $80. Or a mediocre gen 4 drive for $60.

Complete the rebate form, print the form, cut up the box, mail the rebate form, wait for weeks... hahaha

And Im tempted to do it.. smh

Is MSI top tier like WD?
Then those weeks turn into months. Then they turn into years.

$15 rebate on the 2tb version, brings it to $110 (AR). These have DRAM and are TLC. Not top tier but excellent price.

Wow great deal. I'm currently running this on my rig with an aftermarket copper heatsink. Fast and reliable for my uses. I had bought it for $98 after tax and that was a deal a year ago.

Good for ps5?
Yes, and if you want a heatsink compatible with PS5 you can get them for $10-$12 from Amazon; so even if the rebate doesn't come through, you're still only out about $55 for a 1TB add-on that people were paying >$150 for last year.

It doesn't meet Sony's recommended speed, but plenty of people run slower Gen 4 drives in their PS5 without issue.

Below average for a high end PCIe 4 drive.

Good deal for the price, probably could use a heat sink.

I really do if I want to get it for $40 (great deal).

Without it it's $50 (good deal).

It will work, but a few things a lot reviews are say it doesn't reach the advertised speeds. So it won't mean Sony's recommend speeds, but unlikely you notice. Also you'll need to buy a heatsink for it.

PS5 required SSD speed is wayyyy over rated. The internal transfer speed of PS5 is only ~100-500MB/s, which is wayyyy lower than the 5500MB/s required speed. I've used this drive in both my PC and PS5 for a long time (later changed my PS5 drive to a cheaper 3500MB/s Kingston NV2) and there's no performance issue whatsoever. It does run hot so you might want to get a heatsink for it.
