It means TeraBytes Written

It means how many it can write before the drive is considered dead. The higher that number the more reliable it is likely

There's other drives that are 200 (laughable) and others that are 600 which is okay in the middle. Did someone say 1600? Wow I think that's the highest I've seen

For the PS5 you do need it since they might get too hot without it, for PCs you might get away with it as long as you have good overall cooling. Although for a Gen 4 nvme it is advised that you get a heatsink.

Hopefully these price drops start putting some pressure on the mechanical drives. Crazy how a new 14TB drive hasn't dropped its regular price in almost 5 years.

I bought this two years ago around black Friday. This is a phison e16 drive which all seem to be basically the same. Even the numbers on the PCBs are the same.
It's a first gen pcie gen 4 drive. Compared to newer pcie gen 4 drives it's less power efficient and slower.
Running with no issues in my laptop with a gen 3 slot.

Same here! This is 2021 BF deal, $75. It was amazing back then, and really good today!

Yeah, the MIR is lame. For those saying there's a paperless option, unless I'm missing something, you have to mail stuff in even on that form. But a 1TB mid-range gen 4 with a good TBW for $40 is hard to argue with. It's a stamp and a few minutes. Who cares?

I know I'm in the extreme minority based on the flood of comments in every thread, but Newegg has been 100% perfectly flawless for me, and I've made several purchases and returns in the last 2 years. The other comments kinda feel like an endless echo chamber...
