how do these compare on a per serving basis vs powdered form?

I suppose powdered servings are cheaper and you're just paying for convenience in these "to-go" premixed options

That's correct. This is 12 servings. A 5lb bucket of Protein is close to 70 servings. About 24 grams per serving in both the drink and a 5lb bucket of protein. I used to get 5lb of whey protein for under $30. I'm not sure what the going price of 5lb of whey is now due to inflation.

This is done to keep calories low without it tasting like crap. Factory farming practices aside, you can buy the powder if you need cleaner ingredients.
