Amazon is refusing to offer a $5 credit for the price difference. Ordered this last week at $70 and it still isn't here. Bought it again just now, and am returning at the $70 price. More work for them since I'm already dropping off another return.

I just built this one, it was a fun build and looks great in its final form.

It is also retired. I was able to grab it from the bestbuy deal for $50. Debating grabbing a second at this price

I missed that deal because i was in bed. Woke up and found out it's sold out. Im hoping they drop to that price again.

It won't, as I said it is a retired set that is being clearanced out. Best buy and many other retailers have already cleared their stock. The reason for 50% was it was Mario day.

If you have the amazon card it's only $11.75 more than the $50 deal. 39% off for this set is still great. $.053 per piece. I convinced myself to grab a 2nd one too.

Nah Amazon has slapped labels on retail packaging. It doesn't happen that often but it has with me.

I wonder why you've been downvoted. I've had good experience pricematching with Target + 5% with redcard. Target price matches and will adjust the price up within 14 days if you find a lower price. They even have a price guarantee extension for more than 14 days during holidays.

Amazon doesn't really do price guarantees anymore, but that's just a part of their business policy now. They also are very strict with returns now regardless of how damaged something is, but that's probably because they will sell it with their used/warehouse store. Recently I ordered something that was broken and leaking liquid and the Amazon rep still told me to return it, lol.

My son easily has 15 different sets and this is one of the best Mario Lego sets out there. Paid more than this and felt it was worth it.
