I just got an email from Google and it seems like an excellent benefit for those who got Google One like myself and downgraded to a 100GB plan. Also free dark web monitoring.

Because youtube premium is overpriced. It's not like it's youtube TV.
It should atleast come in a bundle with deep discount.

Microsoft 365 gives you 1TB of OneDrive and the entire MS Office Suite for $6.99 a month. Google can afford to give YouTube Premium with one of their tiers.

i tried to download on my pc and i cant seem to log in.
Every time it takes me to my browser to log in and my brower says log in was succesful.
But the VPN program spins a bit then says something went wrong.

anyone else?

Hmm, wonder if I could put the Google VPN on my router, then use my regular VPN through it for additional bandwidth. Response times might suck though. Plex and seed box would like it though.

When you start to consider that it comes with YouTube music and Spotify is $10 and Apple Music is $10.99. $12 for unlimited music and ad free YouTube seems like a good deal to me.

I'm used to Spotify so the unlimited music doesn't add value for me.
Its three good selling points are download option, screen-off play, and add-free. It's almost worth it.
