I had a Capital One online savings account and they kept letting some fraudulent entity make ACH withdrawals. I asked them if it was standard procedure to allow automatic withdrawals from a savings account and they said yes. I asked if the auto withdrawals could be blocked, and they said no. It took about 20 minutes on the phone with them each time it happened. Each "case" had to be reviewed for a couple days before I was credited back the money. After the third time, I closed the account. What good is a bank that gives away your money?
100K in UFB 5%, now transfer to Capital One 3.5% for 3 months. So 1.5% loss for 3 months for 100K, but gain $1k, worth it?
[Update:] I think it will worth it, because the interest you loss is about $375, but gain $1k, so still gain $625.
So stupid. If you have 10k. Then you're smart enough to have good credit. Instead. Apply for a chase cc and get 700 to 900 dollars for just using. Plus points are not taxable. This deal is worthless!!!
I'm in for this deal, but I have a question for anyone who has had this type of promotion from C1 in the past. It is about the 60 day wait period after your 90 day is finished. Will I have to wait for the whole 60 days to get the the bonus cash, or will it be sooner? So , how long to wait after the initial 90 day period is completed? Thanks

The bonus will usually post after 90 days and interest will accrue monthly. It's a great program and after the 90 day period and bonus posts, one has the flexibility to move it to a higher yield savings or CD.

I already have a CapitolOne savings and CDs but don't see them labeled as 360, anyway to verify if I am a "new" customer to qualify?
You aren't a new customer unless you have never been one or haven't had an active Capitol One account after January 1, 2020 (which means you had one prior to that date but it was closed before that date).
The OP "Note, offer does not extend to users that have open on or after January 1, 2020" could be interpreted as you haven't opened an account after January 1, 2020.
It should state "Note, offer does not extend to users that have an account opened on or after January 1, 2020".
I had both a savings and checking account with them opened prior to January 1, 2020 and don't qualify. I opened a new 'performance' savings account (without the bonus offer) and transferred $ from old savings to the new savings, but had to speak with them by phone to close my old one and they need a photocopy of your d/l or passport to do that.
So not only do they punish existing cutomers with no bonus offer, but save money by not switching them automatically to the higher interest savings account. My old savings account that they no longer offer was paying .3% interest. They only offer one savings account now, the 'performance' one.
How did you switch?
Did you open a performance account, transfer money over, then does it allow you to close the old savings account online? The 2020 date is wrong. I've had mine since 2008 and couldn't sign up for the bonus.
I just opened a new one, and easily transferred my old savings account into it. It took about 2 minutes.
I did not get the bonus. And I do have to call to close my account I zeroed out.
